Full Rules

Matchmaking Structure

Matchmaking Format

All of the matches on ChallengeMe.GG are Best of 1 (Bo1).

Match Format

ChallengeMe.GG utilizes the single-game match format. A single-game match is played in a single game and places two players against one another. A game is played on a single map in a MR8 round format with the addition of Overtime if needed. For each half-time, teams/players play both terrorist and counter-terrorist, and score one point by winning one in-game round. The winner of a game is the first team which scores 9 in-game rounds. The winner of a match is the team that has won one game.

Overtime

If after 16 rounds both teams/players are tied, there is an Overtime which consists of a MR3 Format. If after 6 rounds there is not a winner, there will be a switch of sides and another MR3 will begin.

Requirements for Playing Coin Matches

To be eligible to play for Coin matches, players must agree to being over 18 years of age and an EU resident. This will be checked during the withdrawal process.

The Flow of Coin Matches

Players can challenge one another for an amount of Coins using one of the many features provided by ChallengeMe.GG. Once a challenge has been accepted and a lobby created, the system will take the entry fees from players and add it to an escrow for that match. Upon completion of the Coin match, ChallengeMe.GG will take a 10% rake of the overall prize pool and reward the winner(s) with the remaining amount.

Game Coverage

Due to the nature of ChallengeMe.GG, we reserve the right to the coverage of matches conducted on the ChallengeMe.GG platform. CME.GG can assign the coverage rights of a match or of several matches to a third party or to actual players themselves via the Arena page.

Admin Communication

Any communication between CME.GG’s customer support, members, moderators or administrators are not to be posted publicly.

Player Settings

Illegal software and hardware tools

Programs that provide any type of advantage during game play (e.g. drivers that allow the removing of walls) are forbidden. Any programs that change the game itself are forbidden and any user caught using such software will be subject to punishment.

Use of the CME.GG Anti-Cheat Client

The CME.GG Anti-Cheat Client is mandatory for all players to use for the full duration of Coin matches without exception. If a player cannot use the CME.GG Anti-Cheat Client then they are not allowed to take part in a match.

Bypassing of Anti-Cheat

Any attempt to bypass our anti-cheats will result in a permanent ban on the CME.GG platform.

Distribution of cheats

Players caught distributing cheats on the CME.GG platform via any type of communication channel (team chat, general chat, friend chat etc) will be punished.

SteamID

Any user of the ChallengeMe.GG platform must link their CS:GO SteamID upon registering otherwise you will not be able to join a server. If you are having issues with linking your SteamID, please contact our support team via support@challengeme.gg.

Please Note: Once linked, a SteamID cannot be unlinked.

  • Ban
  • Ban
  • Decider

The team that goes first is selected randomly and only team captains may ban.

Readying Up

Upon entering the match lobby, both players must click on “Set as Ready” before a server can be allocated.

In the case of joining the 1v1 and 2v2 queue, all players upon entering the lobby will be marked as ready.

Leaving the Lobby

Leaving the lobby before readying up will close the lobby and will not affect either player in anyway in regards to statistics or Coins when it comes to direct challenges. (Skill rating, win/loss ratio, leaves etc.)

Leaving the lobby after readying up will close the lobby and will affect player statistics. (Skill rating, win/loss ratio, leaves etc.)

Play Button/Server IP Notification

The Play Button will appear once a server has been allocated. Upon clicking this button, both players will be loaded into the map automatically. Should this not happen, players can manually enter the Server IP into the in-game console of CS:GO.

Warmup

Each match will have a warmup round lasting 3 minutes. The match will enter a 30 second warmup after all players have joined a team. If a player does not join a team during the initial warmup stage, the match will be cancelled and Coins will be returned to all players.

During the Match

Choice of side

During 1v1 & 2v2 matches, the side will be determined by the ChallengeMe.GG system. As the maps are designed to take this into account, neither team have an advantage over the other.

Disconnections

During 1v1 matches, any player that disconnects from the game server either by console, main menu or by connection issues before the match has been completed will forfeit the game and their Coins.

During 2v2 matches, any player that disconnects from the game server either by console, main menu or by connection issues before the match has been completed will have 5 minutes to return before receiving a cooldown. If the match is over before then, the fate of their Coins are in the hands of the remaining player. This means if the player that remains loses, the Coins from the disconnected player are lost too.

After the Match

Right to write a support ticket/file a protest

If a player/team suspects a violation of rules during a match, we urge them to complete the match. Once complete, a player should report this player to support@challengeme.gg. It is advised to provide as much information possible to ensure a swift and accurate action is acted out.

Alternatively, a player can dispute the match results using the dispute system found in the lobby after the match has been completed. Please see the section labeled “Dispute System” for more information.

Result Reporting

ChallengeMe.GG features an automatic reporting of results but in the case of an incorrect score appearing, a player from the match should submit a support ticket with a screenshot of the final score and the MatchID (found in the URL) if possible to support@challengeme.gg.

Alternatively, a player can dispute the match results using the dispute system found in the lobby after the match has been completed. Please see the section labeled “Dispute System” for more information.

Dispute System

Upon completion of a Coin match, both team captains have the option to dispute the match result and provide further information via a comment box and/or sending evidence. The following reason for a dispute can be found below:

  • Cheating
  • Incorrect result
  • Server issue
  • CME.GG Client caused an issue
  • Other…
1). Cheating

A dispute may be made for cheating if the team captain believes their opponent is breaching our section labeled “Illegal software and hardware tools”. The reporter should provide as much information about why they feel they are cheating and any additional evidence.

2). Incorrect result

A dispute may be made for an incorrect result if the ChallengeMe.GG automated score reporting system flasley marked the wrong team as the winner.

3). Server issue

A dispute may be made if the ChallengeMe.GG servers:

  • Prevented a player from joining
  • Crashed before or during gameplay
  • Added players to the incorrect team and they are unable to join the correct one
  • Do not end the match automatically causing the lobby to remain open
  • Caused both teams and/or a player to have bad connection to the server

Please Note: ChallengeMe.GG recognizes anyone with over 60 ping for longer than 50% of the match time as having bad connection to the server.

4). CME.GG Client caused an issue

A dispute may be made in the case that a player or team is kicked from the server due to the CME.GG Client stating it is not active in the console.

5). Opponent’s rank is not equal to their skill

A dispute may be made if one of the players is playing at a rank not equal to their skill and provided an advantage which resulted in a win for said player.

6). Other…

You may dispute the match for a reason not listed here as long as it is significant reason. Abuse of this option may lead to punishment.

In some cases, if both team captains dispute the match result for the same reason, it will be automatically resolved and the match cancelled. For disputed matches, the statistics and result of the match won’t change on a player’s profile but the Coins used will be.

For example:

  • Match ends correctly but shows incorrect result
  • Player 1 & 2 dispute the match for “incorrect result”
  • Dispute is autoresolved and the match is cancelled
  • Coins are returned to both players
  • The match results are not affected despite the cancel

ChallengeMe.GG will not take any fee for cancelled matches.

False Disputes

Using the dispute system to create false disputes may lead and not limited to:

  • A written warning
  • A temporary cooldown from Coin matches
  • A Coin matches ban
  • Account suspension
